Adrian Jackson
Adrian’s work as a Conductor, Arranger and Musical Director is very highly acclaimed. He received a predominantly classical musical training, where principal studies were trombone and conducting.
As an instrumentalist and conductor, he has worked extensively in Musical Theatre, playing in all of the UK’s major theatres.
Internationally, he has appeared in music festivals in Europe including the prestigious Innsbruck Festival, Austria. Adrian has conducted numerous classical works including, Rachmaninov’s Second Piano Concerto for the massed Welsh Symphony Orchestra and Midlands Symphony Orchestra and was Guest Conductor at the Imperial Cancer Research Campaign’s 75th Anniversary Concert at the Royal Albert Hall.
Adrian is the founder and Principal Conductor of The City Concert Orchestra and has performed in the majority of the major concert venues in the UK. He was Musical Director of, “The Musicals” and “The Music Of The Night” with David Jacobs, “Musicals and Movies” with Matthew Kelly, “Hollywood & the Musicals” with presenters including, Terry Wogan, Fiona Phillips, Angela Rippon, Rosemary Ford and Elaine C Smith, and “The Best Of West End & Broadway” with Celebrity West End Artistes, presented by Lisa Riley. In the West End, he has conducted performances at The Palace Theatre, most recently appearing with Roy Walker, Patrick Anthony and Darren Day.
Adrian has worked with some of the country’s most prestigious Symphony Orchestras. He regularly appears as guest Conductor with The Orchestra Of Scottish Opera at the Clyde Auditorium, Glasgow and The Hall¾ Orchestra at The Bridgewater Hall, Manchester. He is an accomplished musical arranger and has made numerous recordings for UK record labels, his most recent being The Best Of West End & Broadway with The City Concert Orchestra. He is constantly in demand as a Musical Supervisor and has worked extensively for the BBC and for Classic Records in Belgium.
