The
City Concert Orchestra was established in 1994 by Principal Conductor
and Musical Director, Adrian Jackson.
The Orchestra has toured extensively throughout the UK, promoting
and performing popular music and classics. Their diverse repertoire
and versatility has resulted in a highly acclaimed and respected reputation,
with performances ranging from Grand Opera to Orchestral Pops.
The City Concert Orchestra are 50 plus in total but often perform
with different combinations of instruments and sizes depending upon
the type of performance. They regularly engage some of the countries
most talented musicians. Leaders include Martin Loveday (an ex BBC
Concert Orchestra leader), John Bradbury (an ex BBC Concert Orchestra
leader), Benedict Holland and Robert Atchison
The Orchestra has recently released a new album, The best of West
End & Broadway on the Grosvenor Label.
