Opera In Concert offers a unique opportunity to see your favourite
opera in concert without paying Covent Garden prices.
Opera in concert features 14 operas scaled to suit most budgets
- from a 10 piece orchestra, with reduced musical scores, to
full symphony orchestras. Each opera is complete – there
are no cuts and standard performing versions have been followed
retaining the classic style and integrity of each piece.
Each opera features some of the countries leading opera stars,
Conductor Richard Balcombe and are performed in concert format
with the orchestra on stage, and in most cases, include a choir.

For some years now Richard Balcombe has enjoyed recognition
as the for his successful re-orchestration of mainstream repertoire
opera. His reduced orchestrations have been used by many smaller
touring companies in the UK, America, Australia and Europe.
